The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

How is freedom portrayed and symbolized in the novel? How do Huck and Jim realize their own freedom?

Freedom is a major theme in the novel. This is for an essay, so at least four examples would be nice. Thank you

Huck's freedom is found in escaping the "civilizing" aspects of society. Jim's freedom is born through Huck's moral belief that the natural condition of freedom overides the basic concepts of those who deem themselves civilized, and yet, hold others in bondage.
