What would you say Ted is guilty of in this chapter?

Ted is guilty of a little cultural appropriation here as well as crashing Grandmother Spirit's wake. Ted was a self-appointed "expert" on indigenous culture. He thought he knew everything about Indians but in fact knew very little. He was only rich and white. He looked for validation from the people on a day he had no business being there. Ted wanted Grandma's wake to be all about him: "the saviour of Grandma Spirit's pow wow dance costume."
