The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

What is Junior's look on Native Americans as his new school mascot during his time at Reardon? Does he think its offensive? Basically, whats his thought on the topic? Thanks!

Kinda fuzzy on the book, read it a couple months ago

Junior feels ostracized if anything, after all, the mascot is the only other native American at his school. For Junior, the mascot isn't half as offensive as the racist comments and teasing he receives because of his heritage. His response....... to fight, physically fight with the offenders. His classmates, however, do not expect or understand his response.
