The cartoon shows the two worlds that an Indian must contend with. One is the white side and the other is Indian side. This depicts Junior's own identity crises when he is thrust into public school and the white world. The Indian side of the picture, for example, has no watch while the white side of the picture has a Timex watch. The disparities are very much rooted between having money and not having money.
