Chapter 33 - The Nature and Propagation of Light - Problems - Discussion Questions - Page 1104: Q33.7

Answer

There are 2 reflections.

Work Step by Step

When the light ray hits the window, some of it reflects off the front air-glass interface. The rest enters the glass, refracts, and then some of it reflects off the back glass-air interface and eventually comes out to air again. This emerging ray is displaced slightly from the first reflected ray, causing 2 images to form.
