The following are the main differences between a real and virtual image: $Real \space image:$ If a divergent beam of light from a point after reflection or refraction converges to a second point, then the second point is said to be the real image of the first point. Moreover, the real image can be caught on a screen. $Virtual \space image:$ If a divergent beam of light from a point after reflection or refraction appears to diverge from a second point, then the second point is called the virtual image. We also know that the virtual image cannot be caught on a screen, but it can be photographed.
