Chapter 20 - Electric Potential and Electric Potential Energy - Problems and Conceptual Exercises - Page 717: 1

Answer

It will experience an increasing electric potential.

Work Step by Step

The electric field is realted to the force on the charge as Electric field = $\dfrac{Force}{Charge}$ The force on a positive charge will be in the direction of the electric field, whereas the force on a negatively charged particle like an electron will be in the opposite direction of the electric field. Hence, the electron will move in a direction opposite to the electric field. The electric field points in the direction of decreasing electric potential. And as the electron is travelling in the opposite direction, It will experience an increasing electric potential.
