The tires of the car are rotating in a clockwise direction before the brakes are applied. But when the brakes are applied, then a negative or anti-clockwise torque acts on the car, which produces a force of friction between the tires and road to stop the car. Meanwhile, the car tries to continue its clockwise torque and as a result pitches down in front.
