You will see a pattern of bright and dark fringes, and the spacing of the bright maxima is the same in both patterns The interference pattern created by the diffraction grating will have bright maxima that are more sharply defined and narrower (see Figure 24-25b) than the interference pattern created by the two slits (see Figure 24-9b).
