Chapter 8 - Quantities in Chemical Reactions - Exercises - Questions - Page 273: 11

Answer

Two kinds of nuclear bonds - ionic bonds and covalent bonds. A covalent bond is shaped between two non-metals that have comparative electronegativities. Neither one of the atoms is "solid" enough to draw in electrons from the other. For adjustment, they share their electrons from external sub-atomic circle with others. An ionic bond is shaped between a metal and a non-metal. Non-metals are "more grounded" than the metal and can get electrons all around effectively from the metal. These two inverse particles draw in one another and structure the ionic bond.
