During the chemical analyses, neutron activation analysis does not damage the sample. Radioisotopes are created when neutrons are bombarded on a non radioactive sample. The neutrons activate the atoms in non-radioactive sample to radioisotopes. The radioisotopes revert back their original state by emitting back radiation, which is different for each sample.
