A well designed experiment must have the following: 1) There has to be two variables that are expected to be related. Without a relationship between two variables, nothing can be observed by the experiment that you are conducting. 2) There has to be a certain way to control all the variables, meaning that you need to have something in your experiment that stays the same every time you conduct a test. For example the same type of test tube could act as a controlled variable. 3) Also, results from an experiment must be able to be reproduced.
