Chapter 10 - Gases - Exercises - Page 433: 10.7a

Answer

Right, middle, left

Work Step by Step

We have PV = nRT, therefore, the pressure is proportional to the number of moles, or number of molecules. There are the most molecules in the leftmost bulb, a medium amount in the middle bulb and the least in the right bulb. Since the pressure is proportional to the amount of molecules then the one with the highest partial pressure is the left, the secondmost is the middle and the least is the right.
