Chapter 2 - Section 2.1 - Units of Measurement - Study Check 2.1 - Page 27: a

Answer

a. temperature b. time

Work Step by Step

In the metric system, temperature is measured using Celsius temperature. In the SI system, temperature is measured using the Kelvin temperature scale on which the lowest possible temperature is 0K. We typically measure time in units such as years (yr), days, hours (h), minutes (min), or seconds (s). Of these, the SI and metric unit of time is the second (s). The standard now used to determine a second is an atomic clock.
