Chapter 7 - The Skeleton - Review Questions - Page 247: 5

Answer

When a baby is born the skull is noticed to be really big compared to the red of the facial skeleton. During childhood and adolescence, the face will grow out from the skull and start looking like it fits the head. By adulthood, the cranial and facial skeletons are the proper size and will look like the proportional size.

Work Step by Step

This is noticed on most if not all newborns.
