Answer

Fibrous joints or synarthroses are bound by collagen fibers that grow out of one bone and into the other bone of the articulation. There are three kinds of synarthroses ;; suture, syndesmoses and gomphoses: 1. Sutures: Examples of fibrous joints are joints thtt hold cranial bones together. Sutures start out as fibrous joints. but in time the fibrous connection ossifies and the joint becomes immovable. Sutures are classified as serrated sutores -- the saw tooth articulation; ( e.g the coronal suture of the skull); b. lap sutures in wcch one bone overlaps the other( the mortis and tenon suture ) suture between temporal and parietal bones and c. the plane suture in which the two bone of the articulation come together at straight non-overlapping edges. as if hey are joined together eg, intermaxillary jointing the roof of the mouth

Work Step by Step

Gomphosis . An example of this is the case in which a tooth is held in the jaw socket by the periodontal ligament.
