Answer

The frontal bone extends from the fore head to the coronal suture, crosses the crown of the head and joins the frontal bone to the fwo parietals. Functions of the frontal bone: This bone forms the anterior wall, and one third of roof of the cranium. It turns inward to form most of the anterior cranial fossa , and the roof of the orbit.

Work Step by Step

The supraorbital margin--deep to the eyebrow-- is the curved superior border of the orbit, and it is formed from the frontal bone. A supraorbital foramen penetrates the supraorbital margin and allows egress of the supraorbital nerve, artery and vein. The glabella is the smooth area of the frontal bone just above the root of the nose.
