The lacrimal bones are small --about the size of the nail of the digit V of the hand. They form part of the medial wall of the skull.. The lacrimal sac in a living person, resides in the lacrimal depression. Tears from the eyes collet in the lacrimal sac, and then drain into the nasal cavity.
