Mature cells of a series leave the bone marrow and enter the blood stream. The following is the set of developmental stages for a basophil: Hematopoietic stem cells>basophilic colony forming unit (BCFU) basophilic promyeloblast>basophilic promyelocyte>basophilic>myelocyte>basophil. WBc precursors of agranulocytes and and monocytes are stored in the bone marrow until required. Some lymphocytes mature in the bone marrow, and some in the thymus. . Mature lymphocytes seed the lymph nodes, spleen, and other lymphoid structures.
