Answer

Both the nervous system and endocrine system coordinate cells to maintain homeostasis. Both systems use chemical messengers to signal cells.

Work Step by Step

Achieving and maintaining homeostasis is a challenge. All the cells in the body need to work together in a coordinated fashion to maintain homeostasis. The endocrine and nervous systems work together to coordinate to maintain internal conditions. The big difference between the endocrine and nervous systems is the speed at which each performs. The endocrine system is slow at responding and changing things while the nervous system is very quick at responding.
