The graph of y=$\log_{4}x$ is obtained from y=$4^{x}$ by reflecting across the line y=x. Steps : 1. (red) Draw the graph of y=$4^{x} $ . Plot several points (see table in the image) and join with a smooth curve 2. Use the coordinates from the points and swap x an y in each to obtain new points. 3. (yellow dashed) Draw the line y=x 4. The points in step 2 are reflections of points in step 1 about the line y=x 5. (blue) Join the points from step 2 with a smooth curve, so it becomes the reflection (about the line y=x) of the graph of y=$4^{x}$
