Chapter 8 - Application of Trigonometry - 8.1 The Law of Sines - 8.1 Exercises - Page 753: 3

Answer

There isn't enough information to solve the triangle.

Work Step by Step

To be able to solve a triangle with the law of sines, we need to know at least 3 quantities: 1) one side and two angles 2) one angle and two sides 3) three sides Although we have two angles and a side of the triangle, we can't use the law of sines which is: $$\frac{A}{\sin{a}}=\frac{B}{\sin{b}}=\frac{C}{\sin{c}}$$ Because we can't solve for any of the variables we have, because there are two unknown quantities. So in this case we don't have enough information to solve the triangle.
