Area of a rectangle = $A$$_{rect} = l$$w$ Therefore: $A$$_{rect} = (0.8 m)(1.3 m) A$$_{rect}$ = 1.04 m$^{2}$ Area of a parallelogram = $A$$_{parallel} = b$$h$ Therefore: $A$$_{parallel} = (1.8 m)(1.1 m) A$$_{parallel}$ = 1.98 m$^{2}$ $A$$_{parallel} + A$$_{rect}$ = Total Area = $A$$_{total} A$$_{total}$ = 1.04 m$^{2}$ + 1.98 m$^{2}$ $A$$_{total}$ = 3.02 m$^{2}$
