D. $\frac{1}{a}$
The multiplicative inverse property holds that $a\times\frac{1}{a}=1$, for any real number $a$. In other words, the multiplicative inverse property tells us that the product of a real number $a$ and its multiplicative inverse, $\frac{1}{a}$, will be 1. For example, $9\times\frac{1}{9}=1$.
