Next, shade the region that satisfies the inequality. At the end points, if the end point is included, use a solid dot. Otherwise, do not fill the dot in. The solution to the inequality is: $$ x\le \:-4\quad \mathrm{or}\quad \:x>-5$$ Thus, the solution is all values of x, so the whole number line is shaded.
