Chapter 1 - 1.4 - Problems - Kirchhoff's Current Laws - Page 38: P1.33

Answer

Current through different elements connected in series has same magnitude and direction.

Work Step by Step

Let's assume A,B elements are series-connected in a circuit and currents through them are flowing in the same direction and are $i_{a}$,$i_{b}$ respectively. The point joining them is a node by definition. By applying KCL, $i_{a}$ + (-$i_{b}$) = 0 $i_{a}$ = $i_{b}$ Hence current has same direction and magnitude.
