What does Tess seem to be saying about Industrialization? How does Hardy develop this theme?

In general industrialization was scorned by the majority of the writers of the Victorian era. Tess' family suffers as do many of the working poor; even today we are aware of the problems that the "industrialized" society thrusts on its workers.
