Why does paul think that someone is going to pay for Erik's humiliation?

Paul knows that deep down Erik is an angry boy capable of some pretty harsh stuff. When Erik is insulted on the news, Paul knows that Erik will have his revenge and it is going to bring much sorrow and pain. Paul knows what his brother is capable of.
