Tangerine

Paul's eyes were damaged in an accident. He is called "Eclipse Boy" because people have been told his eyes were damaged when he supposedly stared into the sun during an eclipse. We learn later that this is untrue. Over the course of the novel, we also learn that Paul's eyesight is improving.
