How do Mr. Lorry and Miss Pross help Dr. Manette?

They do not want Dr. Manette relapsing into his shoe making obsession. When Doctor Manette leaves the house to visit Lucie and her husband, Mr. Lorry and Miss Pross hack the shoemaking equipment to pieces in the middle of the night. They then burn the pieces in the kitchen fire.
