Can someone please describe the librarian to me in the speak book by Laurie Halse Anderson, thanks

The librarian seems like a literate enlightened lady. She disagrees with the school board banning books. She is particularily upset with the banning of Maya Angelou who she loves, "Ms. Angelou is one of the greatest American writers" . She gives Melinda a poster of Angelou which she hangs in her bedroom.
