Book: Rachel and Andy break up at the prom.

Movie: They break up in the car

The school mascot is changed numerous times in both mediums; the mascot names are not the same.

Book: When Andy attempts to rape Melinda the second time, she threatens him with a shard of broken glass up to his neck. She tells him firmly, "I said no.", but doesn't actually hurt him.

Movie: She not only cuts him with the glass but throws some type of chemical in his eyes.
