Religious imagery & Christ figures in Slaughterhouse Five

Can anyone explain to me the religious imagery Vonnegut used in Slaughterhouse Five? Also is Billy a Christ figure or is he not. Please help!

i can answer your question on how billy is compaired to a christ figure
if you were to take Christ's  life from the bible or even from the mel gibson movie youll see the relevance and the things they have in commin for example..

Christ's death had to happen.. bull needed to be killed and he knew he was goign to be killed

neither jews nor romans were responsible

his message was love commpasion and understanding... billy had a message about death and life

christ was humiliated.. billy was this little scronny thing and was humiliated througout the book..

christ believed in a world beyond this .... billy believed in tamalfadore.

when christ walked earth he created great controversy... billy vreated messes whereever he was...
