Something very ironic in slaughter house-five is that he ask the tralfamadorians why they don't stop the world becoming into an end. The tralfamadorian replies that it has always been that way and it will always be that way. Then when it comes to war, he knows that Dresden will blow out all the time, but he also dosen't do anything to stop that, or even stop his death.
