What is poetic justice in the play?

Over the course of the play, Mrs. Hardcastle does her best to maintain control over Constance's jewels. In context, we can see poetic justice in the fact that when Mrs. Hardcastle hides the jewels and claims they've been stolen, they have in actuality been stolen by Tony.
