I don't find Tony immensely lovable, but throughout the text, he exhibits such wit and boyish charm that it's awfully difficult not to like him. As a product of an overindulgent mother, Tony gets away with most all of his misbehavior. He's a practical joker, extremely witty, and in my opinion, far more intelligent than anyone realizes. None-the-less, for all of his inappropriate joking and demeaning of others he helps Constance in the end.
