Salome had no justification in her murder of Jokanaan. Her feeling for him were lustful, and he never deceived her when he said that God came first and that her mother's actions were of the devil. The harder Salome pushed to seduce him, the more he fought back in the name of his beliefs. Finally, out of rejection her sexual lust turned to bllod lust; it's that very fine line drawn between love and hatred; the problem being that lust driven love isn't really love at all.
