Rudyard Kipling: Poems

In the absence of all these qualities in the poem 'If' by 'Rudyard Kipling' , how do people behave in society.

What a person would do if he doesn't have these qualities or character traits ?

If all people lacked the qualities in the poem, the world would be a grim place indeed. Many people lack qualities of discipline, empathy, and fair judgement. Much unnecessary suffering and pain comes from lacking the traits expounded by the speaker. Kipling outlines many qualities that make humanity "civilized" and worthy of continuing on. Thankfully there are people in the world that still have some of these qualities.
