Romeo and Juliet

Where is the King in Romeo and Juliet?

Hello, i have been wondering why the prince is dealing with all the problems like the fighting and not the king who (i think) should be in charge of the problems. Why is the king not in Romeo and Juliet?

Thanks.

King Albert I is the Roman/German king. The provinces are ruled by appointed princes, as the King is far removed from their daily lives.
