what is the difference between the characters:nurse and friar laurence ?

I think that Nurse, above all, loves Juliet. She truly wants her best interests. The Friar is more concerned with making an impact on both families, smoothing things over. He seems to have more to do with Romeo. The Nurse also serves as frequent comic relief through the play.
