Romeo and Juliet

What does Friar mean when he says "The earth, that’s nature’s mother, is her tomb / What is her burying, grave that is her womb." How does this connect back to Act 1, scene 2?

The earth is a tomb because all plants and crops grow from it. The earth is a womb because nature gives birth to life. I'm not sure this connects to anything in Act 1 sc 2.
