What are some reasons friar lawrence should not have been forgiven by the prince for giving juliet the potion?

I onky think he shouldnt have been forgiven becausebhe is an adukt and romeo and juliet were kids...he knewnright from wrong

Although Friar Lawrence meant well, his plan was rather inept. He orchestrated events without the knowledge of both sets of parents. He indulged the young lovers by marrying them in secret. His plan had a lot of variables in it that could, and did, turn into disaster.
