Romeo is an impulsive obsessive romantic. He broods about romantic love or rather unrequited romantic love. Rosalind has rejected Romeo and he is taking it pretty hard. We really get the sense that Romeo knows very little about "love" He pines not for actual love but more for the idea he has about romantic love. Romeo is a pretty sensitive guy who is driven by his very romantic ideas about love. When he meets Juliet, he is swept away with emotion without thinking about the consequences of his actions.
