Some people blame the silly family feud and some blame various adult characters. I tend to blame R & J themselves. Their reckless impulsive love lead to their demise. They might have been just crazy teens in love but they failed to examine any of the consequences for their actions. They really did push their luck beyond the very tight social constraints of society. Perhaps this reckless young love is the point of the play but I always felt these two had no foresight or vision beyond themselves.
