Romeo and Juliet

Notice the pun in "extremities" and "extreme" in the final line of Romeo and Juliet act 2 prologue. What might each word mean? Why are they used together?

Extremeties refers to the dangers of their meeting..... extreme relates to their feelings of pleasure. Together, they allude to the attraction of dangerous love.... the danger makes it all the sweeter.
