How many people does lord Capulet want at the wedding? What is his reason for this?

Capulet never gives a specific amount of guests. He gives the servingman a list with a lot of names, So many guests invite as here are writ. Capulet would have had many wedding guests, He was a rich man and throwing lavish parties were certainly a status symbol.
