Do you disagree or agree that friar lawrence should not have been forgiven by the prince for what he did why or why not?

I feel for the friar. He wanted to help out two kids in love.... and he wanted to try and mend the chasm between their families. Friar Lawrence tried to do a good thing. Unfortunately, it backfired.
