Romeo and Juliet

Act 1 Scene 3

Shakespeare presents Juliet in this scene as someone who is not yet interested in boys. How does this change the play or influence reader opinion about future events?

I'm not sure that she doesn't think of boys: she just isn't excited to marry Paris, a boy she has no idea about. This obviously changes when she sees Romeo at the party: it's love at first sight.
