Of course, the obvious (teens, males, etc.) seems too easy. They are looking for something more interesting in their lives, and it is Benvolio who wants to help Romeo come out of his depression over the fact that Rosalind does not love him. In some ways they seem to have little in common except for the obvious, yet Benvolio wants there to be no fighting in the streets and Romeo makes the same request after his marriage to Juliet and before he kills Tybalt. They seem to be typical "kids" just wanting to enjoy the teen-aged life, but they also want to be more responsible as they grow up.
