To what extent were the adults in this play positive or negative role models for Romeo and Juliet?

The Montagues and Capulets are engaged in a feud.  They automatically hate one another.  Hence Romeo and Juliet are forced to hide their love and to marry clandestinely.

A negetive role modle is that they both end up killing themselves

Not a very happy story
